Never knew this existed until I saw it mentioned here... so I grabbed a copy, found the cheats, and got started.
Ep 1 didn't really need cheats, and only had 3 levels? So, I'll continue on Ep 2 next week.
Seems a fairly harmless game, the worst that can happen is getting spat at, from what I've seen so far.
I notice that the normal slingshot only allows 99 stones (ammo), but when you get the super slingshot, now you can have 199 stones. Interesting.
Everything's brown, but I suppose that's what you'd find in a wooden boat. |

This is kind of the "black sheep" of Wolf3d-based games. Aside from being intended for children, it uses the SNES/Jaguar/Mac episode format, so the levels are compressed into 30, and episodes are 6 levels long at best.
But hey, if throwing watermellons at things is your cup of tea, go for it! |

White sheep, actually...
still progressing through it, will resume from level 6-1. Also downloaded and read the manual.
It has a few nice features though. Press Tab for the map, which can be scrolled around. On game 5 I found a tablet with "MAP" on it, this unhides all of the map.
Brown bags can increase the max ammo ("feed"), up to 299.
5 enemies instead of the usual 4 (plus 6 bosses).
6 weapons.
Fruit (= treasure) keeps counting even through a new level until 50 is reached, then it resets to 0 and you get an extra life.
The game has optional biblical questions on scrolls, getting it right increases everything. One giveaway (I think) is that the arrow is pointing at the correct answer when the question first appears.
It might be possible to add similar features to homebrew mods. |

Fair enough. The sheep do present a certain light coloration, reminiscent of white...
Pretty much all of these features are taken directly from SNES Wolf3D, with the exception of the map. (And the Biblical questions, as you might have expected) |

There were reportedly bible questions in at least one Wisdom Tree release for the NES. It wouldn't surprise me if those same questions made it on the DOS version of the Noah game. |

The Biblical questions are in all versions of Noah 3D-Snes and DOS. |

Well ... that just shows how little progress I made with the SNES version. |

Finally finished the game, and discovered a bug right at the end.
This game gives bonuses on all levels, including the ones with bosses. On the last level, the boss is a bear with a green covering, you shoot that off, then you feed the bear. (remind you of Hitler with his armour?).
Problem is, it will say you got 101% of animals, and so you miss out on the 10,000 bonus. |

If that level has regular enemies as well as the boss, just avoid shooting 1 of the former, and you should get 100% kills. Instant bugfix! |

Tried that... it works!
I left an antelope alive, went for a walk around the playfield, the antelope wandered off somewhere, so I was able to subdue the bear in peace - and get the 10k bonus.
For some reason this time I didn't find the silver key, but no matter - as I approached the locked door, it opened and animals came out, so I dropped one in the doorway. |

I remember first discovering the SNES version of this game in ROM form, I never owned the actual cartridge, which was not surprisingly rare, being an unlicensed SNES game and required piggy backing on a licensed SNES cartridge. The concept I thought was hilarious, I used some of the art for it in Operation: Hundscheisse and borrowed some levels for Revenge of Poopdeck Willie. |
