I have somewhat extensive experience with voxels, and I like them. They are funny!!

Do any of you code crackers think that voxels could ever be integrated into wolfenstein? 3d tables and chairs. 3d lamps. All retaining that pixelated warmness of wolf. The weapons would look AWSOME!!!

Anyone think this is possible? Anyone willing to give it a try? Come on, you know it would rock!

I doubt it, due to the memory limitations.
Might try it sometime, when i get off my arse and learn

1. How to get OpenGL to work with DevC++ (not related to wolf, i know)
2. 3d shit
3. About voxels
4. More C++ stoofz

Would be cool mind you, like the weapons and zombie heads in Blood. I think i'll do some research...Get Psyched Joe!

If it is to happen, I'd suggest keeping the characters in sprite mode, (just like Joe mentioned...as in Blood)

But everything else as voxels would slay this world. Not only for a 'voxelfied' version of the original Wolfenstein, but for mods as well.

Gah, i've spend all weekend trying to work out a way to draw 3d shnit to the screen. I have it mostly worked out, all but quite a lot of stuff.

I know :

How i will "scale" crap, though not texturing, as that is a completely different kettle of haddock.

I know all the basic shizz, but need to know
- how i'd know where to draw the "red" point.
- basically how i'd know where to draw everything.

Oh well, joe will continue to delve into this mystery. alone, as all web sites on the subject have either confused me dearly or have made me give up faith in the human race.
