I can't seem to access this level... I complete challenge level 4, and when accessing level 22 the game bombs out on me with an error message saying: "Out of memory!" I read the troubleshooting section in the manual, and I have sufficent memory (608 kb to be exact). I tried again, exiting some programs running, and yet it still bombs out. Next, I tried accessing level 22 from 21, and it bombs still. After, I restart my computer in MS DOS mode... yet it still does it. Mad

If it helps, I am running this game under Windows 98.

Yes it's 1.04, Same thing to me, but I always saved game at begining of each level in case of error bombs out..

Make sure you have enrough in conventional memory, it could be least 590K (not extended memory). To check memory by type MEM in Plain DOS or DOS in Windows Box. see example of my computer with 512mb shows... your computer may be vary

For example:
655360 bytes total conventional memory
655360 bytes available to MS-DOS
599312 largest executable program size < ------------ that's what you have left in memory

1048576 bytes total contiguous extended memory
0 bytes available contiguous extended memory
941056 bytes available XMS memory
MS-DOS resident in High Memory Area

Hmm.... it appears that I have enough conventional memory... yet it still bombs out Not Happy

If it helps, here is what I get when I type "mem" in DOS:

it seem fine for you - few members here have same thing when it goes bomb out.... Don't worry about that sh*t happen, just save your game at each begin of level, so you don't have to start over with level 1 when it bombs out..

I tried to use Dr DOS (without Windows installed) on my computer at school (computers lesson) which I took it from my house to play EOD, Noticable that game bombs out at about 4 to 5 levels each..

Try turn Shadow and/or Ceiling/Floor off by press Backspace+S or Backspace+T (or both) to see if problem goes away... Just guess what will happen.... Wink

It is buggy, if you turn off the shading, the Directional Sprites are still shaded Shocked At least in 1.01, never tried in 1.04.
