Just a quick note when reporting errors in the game....

Please give as much information as possible about where or what seemed to happen. Include any "Error Messages" that the game spits out (if there is one put on the screen). Also important are things like memory and configuration (so they can compare and see if things are the same on all platforms or operating systems that you are all playing the game on).

If you are using a hex edited saved game... it could be the saved game that is causing errors. While I know Chris is a master of hex editing and his tinkering has allowed many to finish the game, any tinkering with the files can or may cause other problems in the game.

Personally I would suggest that you only play and report bugs that are from official releases made by MCS and Areyep... or by me with their permission.

Thanks...

Welcome!
I encountered the following errors during gameplay:

- It doesn't seems to work with VDMSound. I wrote to AReyeP, he told me I need to change some values on a certain file.
In fact, when I run the game,it bombs out with the following error message: "No EoD data files found"

- Sometimes the game bombs out to Windows for no reason at all. It's a mysterious error,I tell you.

- I also get stuck in a toilet when I kill a Clone,and pick up a food.

- On level "Frosty" some snowmans become Blue ceiling light, when I shoot it. Also a Nazi technology to disguise evil snowman as a ceiling lamp? Smile

I'll write if I found anything unusual again.

I've encounterd those too. Don't know about the food part though... seem to remember it happening randomly.

Another two errors:

- When you die by several hazardous nuclear waste barrels blow up around you, the sounds will be screwed up totally.

- When I found a secret area, sometimes the game doesn't counts it as a secret until I get the "You found a secret" message. This means I found a secret ONLY if I get the message. Sometimes somehow I "avoid" this message, so no matter I found a secret, it won't be counted at the endlevel summary. I would suggest the "old" counting method: Opening a pushwall count as a secret, not entering it.

they changed that because some secrets you can get to by blowing through columns, or throwing switches. Although I did have this problem too, it wasn't such a big deal considering the reason. Something makes me think it's an invisible pickup. I seem to remember being able to avoid it by going sideways (maybe backwards) through it.

There's a few easy solutions to this problem, if anyone was curious:

You actually don't even need the "if" line in my example, just the one that declares your spotvis position to 1.

The sound problem still exists. The Rocket turrets killed themselves and the Cybertrooper at 4th Challenge, and the sounds became screwed up. I wonder what causes this problem, but I suspect the game can't handle too many sounds in the same time (barrel blow, Rocket turret blow, Cybetrooper "Auuuugh")...
