are they any wolf3d multiplayer ports out there or in development. and how hard would it be to make a wolf3d multiplayer if i use the newWolf source code

The only Windows port of Wolf3D still in development is Lone Wolf. It's the most likely to get Multi-player support, since the NewWolf project hasn't been taken over by anyone else in the several years it's been abandoned.

Besides, you don't need a 3-D graphics card to run Lone Wolf full speed. So the "slow as !@#$%&" reputation that NewWolf got can't apply here, thus there are more users that would be willing to play the Lone Wolf port.

Don't forget Adam's WinWolf3d, although it will most likely just be a port. It seems dead, but Adam said he will work on it, mainly when ORB is done.

I could do it, if wolf had a windows version...

Edit: I've got to check into this lone wolf port. No promises though..

I had to construct a batch file to get my copy working. I can always E-Mail the batch files to you. Its contents - at least to start the WL6 files - are this:

::: CODE :::
@lonewolf -fullscreen -gametype WL6 -pathres C:\Lonewolf\ -pathloc C:\Lonewolf\loc\ -vscale 2


... under the assumption that the program is installed in the C:\LONEWOLF directory.

To start the SOD version, I created a batch file with the same contents, only I changed the "WL6" part to "SOD".
