I re-made the original concept rott on wolf3d shareware using original concept images
and rott v1.3 images and sounds i made a very playable demo
that shows what it would have looked like if they made Wolfenstein 3D Part II.

That has to be the worst JPEG compression I've seen in months.

How can we post comments about this when there's literally nothing of interesting to look at? It is but a lengthy hallway with scarcely any elements and a couple of bland textures. This quite frankly is NOT even remotely close to an "original concept", beta demo or not. It's Wolfenstein with a couple of changed textures and sprites. And honestly, do you even know what the original design specs were?

No it's not. Have you ever seen how JPEG compression works? The image has far too much compression. It looks like a painting that got wet and the paint ran all over the canvas.

Yes, it is...that's part of why I shied away from using some of that stuff in past projects of my own - a) the guns fill way too much of the screen unless edited, and b) the colors convert horribly. Sure, I could have used a new palette in my games, but I've never felt like going to that much trouble in that respect.

The JPG compression is pretty bad from where I'm viewing, and my monitor is gigantic...so the previous posts were correct. I have to agree that the screenshots don't tell too much. Those weapons and enemies etc have been used before, so so far there's not much to say. Don't get me wrong, though...I'm not saying there won't be.
