Yes BT, I agree, it's time to release the stuff as this is now obviously Vapourware. I refer to this quote from ChiefRebelAngel from August 5 2006...

Ok, I own only a few textures and sprites, and the source code may not be runnable, but you can give a look to them. I'll do when I come back home.

Really sorry for the delay guys! It's only been like 6 years since I announced it! AHahah. Well, I'm considering releasing all the art. It's a shame, it was an ambitious project and I had a pretty clear vision for it. It would have been a game I'd have liked to play.

I've been working for a game company the past 3 years during the summer, and I'll be graduating from college in April (finally, it's been 5 years my god...).

It's good to see the community still strong with lots of familiars dudes still making great work. TheJosh's newest TC looks completely insane and breaks all the rules for what I thought you could do with Wolf3D. I'm EAGERLY anticipating that release.

When I posted back in the day I was kind of a dick at times, so to the guy who made IceWolf, sorry for being so defensive about the Thor prop. Anyways, I'd considering finishing "Helvete" or whatever it may be called after I'm done school. I'm going to be taking a few months off (hopefully) in florida to chill out and decompress. When I'm there I might try to do a final push on the game's art and level design. I know it's ridiculous at this point to even make such a statement, but I've always felt a nagging feeling the back of my head whenever I see the Helvete stuff just sitting on my desktop (yes, I've switched computers a few times, but I always copy the Helvete project folder to my desktop to remind me). So I'll see what happens in April, and if I have the time and the drive I'll try to work on it. If not, I'll consider releasing everything this summer. I did lose a few weapons somehow, they were 128x128 and they looked sick. The thought of redoing them is painful.

Anyways, enough rambling, I thought I'd check in because I owe you guys that much for the respect and attention you've showed me and my little project.

P.P.S. I feel like a total dick, I announced all of these different projects aside from Helvete like Corridor 8 and Operation Bodycount: Redux and a futuristic "Aliens" type game. What an ass! I mean, I had strong concepts and some pretty decent story lines, but I had no real concept of the time it takes to make these games, especially quality ones. So I want to apologize for all that as well, because it makes me sound like a twerp. Wink

I was a bit surprised to see you in the online users list, but it was a pleasant surprise. I hope you do finish this project. I know from past experience that the final push to get your project out is the hardest and longest. Keep at it man, don't give up, we are still waiting for this. Smile

Sweet and spicy Jesus Christ it's the [Censored] Chief. It's good to see you after four thousand years or so. I can understand the difficulty in coming back to a project after so long, but hey, at least you're not going to completely bury it. If you do just say screw it and release all the resources then maybe somebody'll finish it.

And what's wrong with ChiefRebelAngel, eh? How about just The Chief? That's got a nice ring to it.

Thanks dude! I'm not promising anything, because it's already been however many years. All I can say is I'll consider it depending on the time needed. I'd rather release the graphics (and maybe some levels) as is then put together a game I am not satisfied with. Quality is number 1!

I've checked the Dome's news from time to time, but I haven't logged in here in quiet some time. I received an e-mail from the forum regarding my account and I was like "Whoa! I haven't been there in years!". School is just a drain on my time and mental energy that I forget things quite frequently. Really, for me, It feels like it's been a few months since I was a regular here if you can believe that.

Good to hear from you Chief, whether or not your visit is temporary. Smile I still remember back when I checked out your alpha of the game way back when; good to see the project isn't lost. Thumbs Up

I've actually been away from modding for a number of months now myself, and only three days ago have I even bothered to do any maps. Confused I'm actually going back into developing my TC again, as I insert a new digitized sound, and add new features. My mod also has a long way to go before it's ready to release; it'll be interesting to see who finishes their TC first. Too Cool
