I'm confused. It seems you DID have the C7 source code on your site, but had to take it down?
Or is it something you are still waiting for? I would like to see the source code for the orginal as well.

I don't think he has got the source code of Corridor 7. He once had the source code of Witchaven on his site, but he took it down.

From the sound of it, if the source code for OBC is still around its buried in somebody's closet. Both Mishran and I have talked to Bird about it and it's been quite awhile and still no source, so good luck on that one. Razz

Is there a way to get the design document with better quality? I'd like to put it on my PC Games That Weren't website. I've got plenty of webspace, so the file size doesn't matter. Smile

Moreover, I'm trying to get in contact with Les Bird, but with no success so far. Can anyone give me some advice? I guess he's still working for AWE Productions...?

I'm new to the DieHard Wolfers community... and was a little disappointed to see that the last post made in this thread was done half a year ago. Has everyone just given up on this project?

The bigger question is: would anyone be interested in actually getting the project going?

I'm currently working on a website for Corridor 7... and Corridor 8. The Corridor 8 section COULD involve a center for developers/designers to meet and discuss the Corridor 8 project, that is, if there is a demand for it. I'll still likely put it up just to see if the interest is still there, but it'd be nice to see a show of hands of anyone who'd be interested in participating.

Right now, all I have up at the site is the maps for Corridor 7. It's sorta hokey, and please excuse that as it was designed more for functionality than looks (at this point in time).

You will likely see large chunks of updates to the site at a time... the url is http://www.corr7game.com

Please let me know what you all think of this...

I've considered doing a mod for corridor 7, but I have yet to figure out what I want do do for it. I was going to do a simple graphics revamp, and levels revamp, but I don't think that'd be enough.

Downloaded the Corridor8zip but can't extract it. It gives me error that files are damaged or something. Any clue why this happens? I am using winrar latest version.

Somehow this happens to me too when I use Windows explorer...
I tried to download the file with Firefox and it worked.

Not to raise an almost six year old thread from the dead, but has anyone done anything with the source at all? I admit I haven't, but the only thing I can do with build games is play them and build simple levels. It's just sad to see such potential bit rot away on people's hard drives. Sad

I'll sure love to see something done with that source.
But with source of "Duke Nukem 3D" amd "Shadow Warrior" released, I wonder why this one is a priority, when even compiling it is a challenge on modern comps.

I always wanted to make Witchaven1/2 TC, but all the attempts were in vein - people disspeared, were not committed...so I quite untrusty of such attempts.
There were some TC-like things on zDoom...but in general Doomers hate the enemy art of that game.

I myself did some work for that game, including full set of HUD faces, and some other stuff.

Les Bird has recently added the Corridor 8 source to the Capstone page on his site.

He has also linked to my overview page that I had written up and made available.
I sent him an email thanking him and to request his opinion about the page and for any info to add or mistakes that need correcting on it.

I'd assume its fairly accurate, otherwise he'd likely not have linked it otherwise. Laughing
