Anyone know what program converts .wav files to the 6896hz 8bit mono that wolf3d needs? Every program i find goes back only to 8hz.

I think Audacity does if you tweak some of the settings.

Goldwave will do the job as well, and I've used it for years. This one has many features, yet is still fairly easy to learn. You have to have a very technical mind to want something that Goldwave can't do (It has happened to me one time, though I haven't tried it again with the latest version).

Any of those can work. but I've also found that WDC and Chaos Edit will convert the audio accordingly upon importing it...
