Has a Wolf3D mapset ever topped the original Wolf3D while strictly adhering to all its principles (see first post for details)?

Talking about Wolf3D here (I couldn't fit it in the thread title due to character limit).

Qualifications: To qualify, there can be at most very minor VSWAP changes (nothing more than CitF or CC1, for instance), and there cannot be any code changes. The levels must be targeted to have the same overall feel as the original Wolf3D levels. Ceiling colors cannot be modified, and the texturing must at least in general be picked to accommodate the ceiling colors, at least as well as the original game does. Bosses in each episode must be the same (and they cannot be used on non-boss or non-secret levels), mutants must be used in any E2 but cannot otherwise be used except in secret levels, and Officers cannot be used until E3.

And if you pick yes, please specify what such mapset(s) do the trick, in your opinion.

If talking specifically vanilla mapsets with nothing more than minor VSWAP changes, I don't believe so.

Conflict in the Fatherland and Wolf3D_CC1 come closest, but don't quite top the original id maps in my personal opinion. If you include mods with minor EXE changes such as ceiling colors, music order, and seamless levels, I think there is a lot out there that you could say does top id's original maps.
