*pssst* look down one topic...that one will have you playing for longer.

But yes, EoD is a very good mod. Very artistically done, very puzzling sometimes, and with great features.
*shouldnt this thread be in the EoD area of the forums?*

Given that 'End of Destiny' has a section for itself, I've taken the liberty to move this thread over there. That is, actually, here.

Also, my opinion not as a moderator but as an ordinary member of the forums like any of you is that it'd be nice if the comparisons between this mod and 'The Orb of Dilaaria' just stopped, don't you think? Both mods are unbelievably kick-ass in their own ways, but they are what they are - different mods by different authors. I had the pleasure of being invited to beta test both of them, and I can assure everybody that at no time during their development stages did any of their authors work with the word 'comparison' in mind. They focused on their babies and on their babies only, and worked on them and for them only. I can't speak for AReyeP, MCS, Adam, ack, Majik, Ringman or any other who directly or indirectly contributed to these two mods, but I don't think I'd like it very much to have my tons-of-months-of-effort title compared and compared and compared to somebody else's work over and over...

As far as I'm concerned, you guys are completely free to speak your mind however you wish to do so provided you follow the rules of this place, and I'm totally cool with that. I just wanted to voice my opinion on this.

Ariel.

Hehe, I completely forgot Ariel. Sorry. *surpresses instictive comparing* It is just a normal thing. People always say *Too EoDish*, or *Doesnt Stand Up To EoD*. Its just a normal thing to compare mods.

But I shall stop.

Here you go level 7 from EOD hintbook at areyep.com.
Just look at step 10. It's on the east most room in the map. And the elevator is in the west most room.

It doesn't worry or offend me if people find Orb to be better than EoD - I like Orb better myself anyway Smile But it's flattering to know people still find EoD to be enjoyable a year and a half after MCS and I released it. Mind you, looking back, I'd have made the levels easier than they are without all the frustrating puzzles (eg: a switch activates a pushwall nearby instead of somewhere on the opposite side of the level), and left the harder aspects for an add on mapset for the hardcore players. Ariel summed my thoughts up well though - whilst I think Orb is the best mod to date, there are other outstanding mods (Todfpad springs to mind among many others) that it would be unfair to compare with other mods. Sometimes it's like comparing apples to oranges - both are fruit but I prefer apples and some prefer oranges, whilst some like or hate both Smile

True. When I was younger, my mom used to always say "I'm going to wash out your mouth with soap!" and I would say "Atleast you're not going to wash out my mouth with Apple Juice!". I really hated apple juice. Orange juice is ok for me, sometimes I really like it... just don't use it in your cereal if you have no milk. Laughing

This isn't off topic! What are you talking about? There is a secret apple tree in EOD, and the final boss in Orb is a big orange (with blue spraypaint)!

Sorry to burst your bubble, man.. but in no way does "cheese" sound anything like "gullible". Let me paraphrase my point:

Cheese = one syllable
Gullible = three distint syllables

C-h-e-e-s-e
Gull-ib-le

Right now I am pronouncing both words slowly and clearly with fluent accuracy and precision. I just cannot see how they sound at all alike. They have nothing in common, really.

Perhaps you got one word mixed up or something...

Did anyone ever try playing Level 26 with no clipping on? There's these two giant rectangles that are really awesome.
Me and my friends are hotboxing a huge pit party in Rectangle 2 every Saturday night! BE THERE, or be a Lameoid Squareless Looking Shape.

Thanks to everyone that came out last night! God, that was so much fun. Mr Green
Deathwish took some pictures of us, as he was the only one still capable of holding the camera...

Meeting all of you in person was so cool! Now we know where the hell AReyeP hangs out when he's not around. Very Happy
Hopefully all of you managed to get home safely. I'm still feeling pretty messed up - hahahah. See you guys next weekend!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that was a joke -_-. It's basically for those too gullible to realize, and they test it. He was gullible enough to believe that Chris was being serious, hence my saying that.

The fact you just tried it proves...You are gullible Razz Laughing Razz Laughing Razz Laughing

Without wishing to delve into the realms of confusing philosophical possibilities with regard to the gullibility factor, I will simply state that
I WAS TAKING THE MICKEY.
