What does your username mean?

My username is based off of Stath, my last name.

Please post a response.

Well, Doom+ Jedi.
Doom fan + old StarWars fan. Nothing more to add.
Just a nick that wasn't taken on NewDoom at the time, alot of simpler ones were.

Sigma + 64

Σ, being a Greek Letter, is purely because I was looking for a username, and I wanted to use a Greek letter.
64 is an arbitrary binary number that I chose to use.

My apologies to all of you who already know my backstory here. Smile

"Tricob" is built from the first three letters of two words - "Triangle" and "Cobra". That is, it's made from the name "Cobra Triangle" for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I was a diehard fan of this game for many years, but after making enough progress with it, I got to Stage 12, and that pretty much killed it for me. This one stage was the most frustrating experience I've ever had with any NES game. I imagine I just need to look that stage up in someone's hint guide and see exactly what I need to do, but I simply haven't gotten back to it; lately, I find myself creating games rather than playing them. There's also some 1970s nostalgia that kicked in for me in late December of 2014, so that's another setback right there. Smile

insurrectionman - When I first was introduced to Wolf3d modding, I had so many ideas, but little follow through (I was 15). One of the dozens of ideas I came up with was Wolfenstein: Insurrection, which was essentially a mimic of End of Destiny, because my brother recently played it, and I watched in awe, as I was scared to play.

Anyways, I made half a map using EoD assets (perhaps Spear Resurrection), and that project died and disappeared. The name was all I could think of at the time, and I really didn't care for it.

Everywhere else, I now go by treesapthief "tree sap thief", and that was just a bunch of random words that seemed to roll together.

I've now learned to plan out games and understand scope, but I no longer have the time I used to.

Developing mods for Wolfenstein 3D using Linux as my development platform helped me decide what my username was going to be. I knew it wasn't very creative but I thought it had a nice ring to it.

Before I joined DHW I did a couple years of unreleased wolf modding on my own, with the horrible name "R3KK3R" because it was a palindrome, used the hip "1337-5p34k", and thought it was a cool name about being an unstoppable force of destruction. It was constantly made fun of my my older brother at the time, so when I finally did join DHW (I may have lied about my age at the time because I was sick of waiting for my birthday) I donned a new name that made fun of itself, so no one else could.

I don't recall all the aspects of it, but a misspelling of "loser" to be more like "lazer" fit with my self-deprecating humor and low pre-teen self esteem of the time. and the "42" I'm sure is pretty obvious for anyone who has read Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy. I don't remember if I had read it yet at that point, but I had definitely watched the much too short BBC miniseries several times at that point for sure.

So, not really any deep meanings, just the results of a young, dumb, lonely kid who thought he was clever.

Mine is simple. A combination of the title of the 1999 film, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and my name.

Sounds like a Transformers reference.

Mine is the Dutch version of the German word “gerulf” meaning “spear wolf”. I thought that was a good fit for a name for this community, but I do use it elsewhere sometimes.

Well, that user is banned. As it says on the Bunker:

NOTE: This site does not support or deal with Nazism, Neo-Nazism or any other racial discrimination group. This site is dedicated to the sharing of information about a game, Wolfenstein 3d and the games it spawned.

So this is the kind of [Censored] nonsense I don't want on this forum.

My user name is a few things:
It eludes to the Ancient Egyptian Falcon headed God Horus, and the modern Thelemic God Ra Hoor Khuit (though he is referred as Hawk headed in Liber Al vel Legis[The main Thelemic Holy Book]). In Thelema RaHoorKhuit is the God of the New(current) Aeon(roughly 2000 year period).

In gematria which is an Alpha-Numeric cypher Thelema (greek for Will) equals 93.
Falcon (Horus / RaHoorKhuit) 93 (Thelema)

Also
Agent Falcon 93 is the code name for the main character (the player) in my KSS Demo and the entire Beowulfenstein 1 game.
In the game he belongs to fictional Thelemic order that has joined the German Resistance against the Nazi regime.
The fictional order the Order of the Magi of the Radiant Star, is very loosely based (and dramatized and romanticized) on an actual Thelemic order that I belong to, and on the FreeMasonic brotherhoods that our order traces back to, which rumor has it go back even to the Knights Templar.
