@Chris: Thanks.
@BrotherTank: Thats just the point I dont want to stretch the bottom and if I do so it ends up the same.
Checkheight? Do you mean CalcHeight???
I have no idea to what I would have to change in that function...

Here are my wall doubled-up shots:

This has nothing to do with your problem but could another map plane be used for defining the upper walls?

@MJR: That was the entire plan, so if I get it to work properly Ill move on to different walls.

@Jaapio: Ok, from looking at these pictures, this is a little different than the concept I pictured.
I just assumed that you wanted to stretch the walls vertically, but you're adding another layer above the top. Interesting idea.

Don't really know what to say. If you got this far, you are probably already beyond what most people have tried doing. Good luck. Laughing

.....

By the way Greg, thanks for taking the time to make this experimental/adventurous thread. I actually printed out this topic on to paper one day so I could read it all on the bus. The printer setup said that it would take around 40 pages (though I managed to get it down to 5 by extending the margins, making the fontsize 25%, and writing to both directions of each side of the paper - haha). Rather fun to read/analyze Darkone's code, especially with your added commentaries.

P.S. There's quite a few interesting websites out there about raycasting too; if anyone wants to get more familiar with how it works. Here's one.
