I beleive Areyep and some others are working
on one.... I've forgotten the name of the site,
but if you do a GOOGLE search for wolfenstein 3d Multiplayer,
it should bring it up. Laughing

Truthfully u cant say that. I as a game maker know that some parts of the game take time to create while other parts are a lot easier to complete. But yes i would probably agree that six months is quite a long time.

if you are interested, WolferGiga, maybe you could start looking at the source code (I suggest maybe using the Doom Multiplayer source for this) to figure out a way of getting it to work...

If you don't have much experience with Source Code (wolf 3d) then perhaps you could work on the graphics side of it?

I'm always in, but we need a "technical" coder. Hey, I'm an art man... and mpa maker. I made some maps for the "first" WolfMP. Yeah... WolfMP - that's how it was called. Anyway, if you get the people, I'm in.

I actually have a few B.J. sprites that I started on when the other WolfMP was going on... there's the standing frames, the shooting frames, the dying frames, and a few moving frames.

Ok, Ok... now we're getting somewhere. First of all, Martin, do you know if any of the other people who helped with WolfMP would like to help with "this WolfMP"??!

DemolitionDerby...? What kind of help with the coding are you looking to give? any aspects? or a select few eg. weapons, enemies...?

Zach Attack...? I know what sort of coding you are capable of, Zach, so I wont run through the details...Also, please ask anyone who wants to help with a multiplayer version of Wolfenstein 3d to help out.

As you might know, my first TC is coming out soon, so, as you might have guesed, I don't have that much experience with the source code (but I'm gaining experience, day by day...) I have a lot more experience with level design and creative art.

Naw, understandable mistake, man. Smile I didn't do the coding for Projekt Vertilgung, only the art and maps and story etc. James Ingham did the coding. He's good (many might disagree that he just leechs off tutorials but it's not true... he has pretty good at creative coding too!) My specialty is graphics and, to a lesser extent, maps. Smile

Um... you guys are kind of talking about this like it'll be a TC with all new graphics... why don't we use original weapons graphics and original enemy sprites? (And hell... some orginal maps... we got 81 to work with... including Spear)

As far as I remember, Zach did the standing frames; they're still on my computer. I also saw DarkOne doing some IPX network work on his NewWolf project...

The goal of WolfMP was making a multiplayer game with saving the original game atmosphere and not changing graphics; maybe after general release, we should do modding. I remember a very big discussion on the old Dome forums about features. There was a real good list of nice features, including various enemy deaths, models, website with active servers, dedicated servers, tag games, capture the flag, etc.

So, we have the ideas... I can manage the communication and cooperation of the designers. I'll also contact DarkOne and ask him about the project.

Hell, I even remember John Romero's words about the WolfMP thread on dome forums:

"Looks pretty neat".
