I'm currently on Level One of this game, but I always start out in what leads to a dead end. After making some turns through a hall, I encounter some guards, kill 'em, and now I got nowhere else to go. Sad I've pushed and shot everything I can think of. All that's happened is a wall with a sign moves two spaces when pushed, revealing nothing.

Can anyone tell me how to get to the next part of the level? Thanks. Smile

The wall with the sign is the right wall to push at and the pushwall should only move 2 spaces in about 1 chance out of ten. Most of the time you should get through... Smile

Not nice to say, he just joined in few months ago (March 2005) and might not know PV when he download this and tried to figured out how he get out of this at begining of game...

Nothing like the old Wolfenstein classic pushwall bug to add that extra dimension of challenge and confusion to otherwise smooth flowing levels. I can remember a time or two I fell victim to this and wound up having to restart an entire level (and headbutted my monitor, but that's a different story entirely). Cheesy Grin

Thanks for your help, folks. It was only moving two spaces because that's what seems to happen if it's making HITWALL/DONOTHING sounds for too long when the pushwall is moving. Wish I'd figured that out the last time I was playing Floor 4 of SOD (That pushwall leading to all those chalices ... remember that?).

Heh - That's why I always save my level in two slots as I progress ... one slot for the beginning of the level, the second for where my progress is saved. At least then, should I have to restart the level from the beginning, I can at least have maximum ammo and weapons. Very Happy

That's exactly what I do as well (the saving at the start and during the game). I take it one step further by also having a "danger" save slot for when I've really gotten my arse handed to me and am not sure if I'll survive even if I save. It only takes a couple times of saving in a mod without any cheats just as a guard is killing you to remind you to take such precautions...
