All of Mr. Lowe's sets are great to me. I love the specific level design style, but not all of the levels are bug-free. The three Wolfbel series are an absolute classic for me, and I really encourage you to play it.

@ Martin,

Please let me know of any bugs in the 3 Wolfbel sets as later I may reissue them 'all files included' with some source code and title screen changes.

Okay.. If I'll find some free time then I'll search for buggies. But I think that one bug-searcher isn't too much to check nearly 180 levels, heh.

Hi Martin, I didn't mean that you go through all 180 levels for bugs - just that if you can remember any specific bugs it would help.

I will be checking all of them anyways.

Yea speaking of it... I'd like to see some new stuff from you Brian. I know you did some levels in the John Bucksnort Tribute but I don't know which ones. On the other hand... Revival of Memories isn't out yet. Twisted Evil

...what's that (Revival of Memories)? sounds classic enough, though.

Cool

It's an upcoming TC by Brian Lowe and Parafriction. They had a webpage for it but it went down when the Dome Forums went. Tristan recently said something about opening the new page when the Dome itself opens! Twisted Evil

Zach, all the levels are done in 'Revival Of Memories' but it's still waiting on the graphics.

The levels I did on John Bucksnort's Tribute Set were 7 and 9. Also, the objects/guards in level 18 (Greg did the layout on that one).

I'm hopeful there'll be something else within the next 6 months. Smile

Hi Brian,
It would be hard because I didn't play your levels for months! I think I can't help out for now Sad. I don't have much time and have so many things to do. I hope you understand! But when I'll find some time then maybe I'll search for some bugs.

I have several theories on that one. One I think is jealousy. I mean if you see a mod that gets all this attention when your own mod doesn't seem to it's natural to be a little jealous. The other reasons are taste, some wolfer's only play mods with original graphics and don't like non changed mods, or mapsets, see them as boring and nothing new. The other possibility is overrated-ness; I can't think of a better word. A mod gets so much attention that it disgusts people and they tend to hate it. I'm not sure where this comes from or why, but it has happened to me. Though I personally think plain mapsets are underrated.

It's good to play with original graphics after a long time with playing new ones.

I found the level design to peak with Wolfbel 3, though I often go back to the original title because of its amazing opening level. Immediately after opening the first door, you are treated to lots of vast spaces between walls. The levels are of a consistantly high quality throughout, and I love how well the ammo and food is used to take up the huge spaces - but not to the extent that it looks forced.

The atmosphere is amazing, and easily on a par with Wolfenstein's. Brian has a knack for really stretching the amount of innovative things that can be done to keep the player interested with the standard castle stone wall. My personal favourite map is no. 5, simply because of the two large rooms that you work your way towards after you start out in a semi-enclosed space much lower down. After a brief change with the wooden wall for the next few rooms, everything opens up with grey stone once again in the first of the two huge rooms. Plenty of decoration and a neat Swastika wall amidst the oil drums and plentiful ammo.

Alright, I'm rambling now... but this is one fantastic level set and I don't often have that much to say about many games I play these days...
