I name my mods on what ever comes to mind. Often or not I may even come up with a name to a mod before even writing the main story for it. Like Mansion X, I came up with that half way through the process of Double Trouble, and the only thing that I had decided for that mod was that it is going to be a horror based mod, the story took me two years to write as I didn't know what to come up with...

No disrespect intended here, but just because the title of a game sounds great doesn't necessarily mean that it's the best choice as a name.

The name of my TC has to be chosen again. The story, it plot twists, and its conclusion have taken what was my perfect idea for a name and made it moot. That's okay though, since the story is ending up being more exciting than I expected it to be.

Ya well, I almost cancelled Mansion X, because I couldn't think of a good story line. Once I have a story for the game then I could come up with ideas for what enemies/monsters that the player would have to fight against, and what each enemies purpose in the game is....

Another mod that took me a while to get a story line for was The Final Testament, I had all these ideas but did not know how I should make the story go...

I usually shoot for puns in my mods, but I haven't really made serious one yet, so I'm not sure that applies. Razz

If all else fails, you can open up the game by saying that some strange sort of stuff is going on, and you don't have an explanation for it. And then, one piece of the puzzle is given after another, though all the answers aren't found until the game is won.

That's the way mine is going to work. When you get far enough in the game, the story will even tell you who's been setting up those Hint Bubbles for you throughout the levels, and why. And - of course - the answers you get lead to even bigger questions ... Smile
