Thanks for pointing this out Frenkel. I'm sure that this will become yet another great item that all serious Wolfenstein collectors will want to add to their collections.

Ah, so it's Mapedit 8.1... and the Creator program we all know.

That WolfMaster 2.0 program (that runs the 800+ levels) seems unusable here.
Here's all the mapsets it includes though, if anyone else having problems wants to try them out:

Should be easy to just drag them to your wolf3d folder this way. Hooray for Windows generation? Laughing

Chris, you made me and my pal switch seventeen very very happy.

I was able to use the WolfMaster program since I still use W98 but it is so much sweeter to have the levels extracted.

Thank you,

I loaded up a level set and random and they were the worst levels I ever played. Just 64x64 rooms with a few walls thrown in. I had heard of such levels but never thought they really existed...until now.

Executor,

I have to agree that there is a lot of garbage in there; it's all dated September 1994 or earlier, so many are actually old shareware levels made before anyone really knew what they were doing.

That being said, some of these games are worthwhile:

C - The Renovation by BJ Rowan (60 levels)
E - Temporary Insanity by Nathaniel Roudiak-Gould (30 levels)
G, H, I - Enigma's Nightmare 1,2,3 by ENIGMA-13 (10 levels each)
R, S - #WOLF1 by The Kid (10 levels each)

They are all available on The Dome, too.

Game L by Jill Gallup seems interesting. I think some of these levels were edited and added to Warren Buss' WOLF60 compilation (which is Game GG, 60 levels). This may be the best of what has otherwise been unavailable.

Many of the remainder seem to be anonymous / newbie levels that I am surprised Apogee deemed worthy of calling their own and charging for. In fact, WOLFMM appears a couple of times (U and Z) with faulty starting points - you are at the end of each level and merely get into the elevator immediately. (Stick with the "corrected" one on the Dome! Wink ) And W3DXLV11 appears 3 times (EE, TT, UU); it's a pretty good single level, though.

I am working on figuring out exactly what levels are in this package and whether they are already on the Dome / Mr. Lowe's, in case you haven't noticed... Geek

Hehe, funny. This is really awesome. Weirdest: this thing were on my pc, I downloaded a while ago
because I thought it was the registered version of wolf.
Well, this would give me (and us, wolfers) a good opportunity, maybe there are some
great levels in there! New graphics too?

Thanks for posting,

Not to burst your bubble but it's maps only no new graphics and if you bother reading the readme.txt file that is supplied it says
Quote:
This addon pack contained over 800 new levels for Wolfenstein 3D, a random level generator, and a map editor.
