AlumiuN - I actually had to download the same archive several times before it downloaded completely. It seems the download is set on a timer and when that timer goes beyond a certain point, the download is marked as done, whether or not it actually is.
IIRC, I had to download the file 5 times to download it completely. |

Thanks Tricob, but AreYeP and I chatted this morning (about the time Steve posted this), and we have agreed to team up... for 2 mods... I'm doing the code for his... and he's helping with the graphics for mine...
But there are no details yet on either, no release date, no feature list, nothing. It's all in the planning stages right now. But the engine for Both will eventually be available because it will work with many of the same features as the Map of the Month - ie: the control will be with the mapper to make the program do what they want by changing points on the map.
Anyhow... that's all I can say for now.. Who knows... we might even convince MCS to come out of hibernation/retirement?? lol... Just we got to chatting (AreYeP & myself) and we missed the chatting and working on projects together - passing off ideas like the old days... And we've agreed that we both want to continue to chat and return to having fun in the forums... And hopefully it will lead to some interesting mods...

WOW, this is fantatic news!!
I know it's very, very early stages but for those of us that plan to hang around, to even hear that new Mods by AreyeP are being developed is incredibly exciting news. I know quite often a mod by AReyeP can take years but if you just stop and think how revolutionary his (and MCS') Dos versions of Wolf were then the possibilities that may come up with for SDL are enough to keep me very interested in the progress of these.
I wish you both all the best of luck with these projects and look forward to seeing what comes, in time.
P.S. And for those that don't know what the 'Shidoshi' reference means, it relates to a Martial Arts term for 'Teacher' or 'Grand master'. |

AReyeP has released his EOD Xmas levels again for 2009!! Ack has helped out by making a couple of the levels this time.
Levels can be downloaded HERE or you can read the full post at AReyeP.com
If they are anything like the last few years releases, then I'm sure they'll be challenging and a hell of a lot of fun to play.
Merry Christmas everyone! |

Just released a Xmas level for 2010 - it's available from my site but the direct link is: www.areyep.com/Xmas2010.zip
It's a very simple level - just banged it together today. Kind of like Otto's level in EoD except a "few" more bosses Nothing special sorry, but I've also put links to the other Xmas levels from previous years on the news page. I think the DHW SDL mod coming out soon will be the best thing to look forward to for this time of year - with so many good mappers contributing I'm looking forward to playing it!
Happy Xmas everyone! |

Thanks, AReyeP. Rather than use the direct link though, I much prefer to visit the site that carries the archive, as any extra information on the mod - no matter how minor - makes it worth my re-visit. I guess I'm just a trivia junkie.
Merry Christmas, everyone. |
