You know how Mac Wolf only showed enemies one sided? Well what If there were full framed versions?

I'm not asking anyone to do this for me, trust me, I know this would be very hard to do, but I think maybe I could try to make a few to show you all? All I ask is how would you do it? How would you start? What would you need in order to do it? Things like that, and I will try my best to make some.

I'd give up before I've started Smile

Did you try first to do 8-dir frames for 64x64? I'd try that first, as MAC-res is at least 4 times harder (as it's x4 pixels).
As someone with experience to make 8-dir 64x64 - I'd not even try MAC-res....but that's just me.

Especially as NONE of the enemies has 8-dir frames in MACres, which means you can't re-use existing art, bodyparts and angles from other enemies.
As someone with 8-dir 64x64 experience - reuse bodyparts from other existing frames is a big - if not major - helper.

I have my ways to do 8-dir on 64x64...but I'm afraid none of my "tactics" would work for MAC-wolf.

I'd build a model of the character out of clay, so shoulders and other body parts could move around as they needed to. The new image would use the clay version as a base.

Classic hand-drawn animation isn't much different; a photo of the clay image is taken; a transparent animation cell overlaps it, and the image is traced in. So if you see hand-drawn animation move around as if it's clay-animation, that's basically because it is. Smile

doomjedi, Yes, I think it'd be best if I just edited the original Wolfenstein sprites to my liking, though I'll probably have to change the palette or add more colors to the original (if that can even be done).

Tricob, that would be a good idea, if I knew how to do that Laughing I think that's what many did in the past, right? I'm talking about Doom, Duke Nukem, I think they did it that way for some of the graphics, but Wolfenstein 3d was all hand-drawn! Adrian Carmack is really talented, I wish he had some type of lesson for all of us, but I'd probably never understand!

Some did, and some didn't. Rotoscope animation was used for many games, including Prince Of Persia, Out Of This World, and Noseferatu.
