I have searched this forum and the Wolf3D Dome but have not been able to find a tutorial to increase static objects past 399 and actors past 150. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks!

In Wolf4SDL, this should be as easy as just increasing the MAXACTORS and MAXSTATS definitions in WL_DEF.H.

What about the DOS version. Can you also do this or does something else need to be done?

Probably. To avoid memory-related problems, you might have to go here.

I believe that works too, although it will increase the amount of near bytes used. Mind you, if you're developing for the DOS version these days, expecting to be able to do that sort of thing as easily as the SDL version is probably a forlorn hope. Razz

I was able to do a few things to get guards up to 170 and statics up to 550 without "abnormal program termination." I think 170 should do it for me. If not, I'll see what else I can do to free up memory.
