I'm using WSJ's in-game messages tutorial: http://diehardwolfers.areyep.com/viewtopic.php?t=1795#18930

For some reason, the text won't draw over the borders. It's cut off where the borders end and the 'game screen' begins. I only made one change: instead of using 'DrawAllPlayBorderSides' (which doesn't exist in SDL) in the DrawMessage function, I'm using 'DrawPlayBorderSides'. Apart from that, the coding's the same. Anyone know how to fix this?

Try putting the DrawPlayBorderSides at the start of the DrawMessage function.

Then it does draw over the border, but the text that runs over the border doesn't disappear again.

Oh, my bad; put it in ThreeDRefresh above the "if (messagetime > 0)" line instead.
