Hmmmmm, what's the point of making a dog shoot? Do you want to put a gun onto the back of the dog? The way you put it in your tutorial sounds a bit strange Wink (dog jumps and you become shot by that?)

Yes i was just wondering can u have the original dog with a shooting one so u could have a normal dog and a super dog?

Sure.... Just create a new set of graphics for the second Dog... Install them into the Vswap file... And then patch them into the code using MCS's add a guard tutorial located at:

http://www.areyep.com/RIPandMCS-CodingTips.html

And bingo... with a little editing, you too can add the super-dog...

Ya thanks to Tristan too Wink He tell me how to make the dog shoot but I have find the way to do the dog shoot like the guard(the dog dont "stick" on you anymore for shoot you). And this tutorials is for people is tired of the dog and want to replace it by another guard or something like that. Smile

Tristan just tell me how to make the dog shoot(in wl_act2.c)but it's me who have find the way to make the dog attack you like the guard. Because if you just modify the function [T_Bite] by [T_Shoot], the dog will ''Stick'' on you for attack you. Try it. (just modify the [T_Bite] by [T_Shoot] and you'll see what I mean.

first of all, i know i will need to edit the dog sprites to have a machine gun. but will there already be enough frames in the dog code, or will i have to edit the code to allow more frames?

second, would it be easier for me to attempt to edit the dog code to shoot a gun, or would i be better off creating a whole new enemy and using my edited dog sprites?

i have already edited a file(i dont remember wich one anymore), to make the dog drop the maching gun when he dies

what should i do?

You'll must have to add more frames in the code if you want more images. If you have already edited the images, but in the shot scene it won't matchs, you can change the images in Wl_ACT2.C, in the T_Shoot routines.

It's easier to you edit the dog code. You may change T_DogChase and put T_Chase and change T_Bite by T_Shoot. Anyway try look the Adam Biser or Alex Brosseau's web-site.

Mostly Wrong.... Change the Attacking Sprites to your new sprites with the guns and firing sequences.

Yes, change the T_Bite to T_Shoot in the extern statetype statements for the dog, as well as the T_DogChase to T_Chase.

Then you will have to rewrite the T_Chase and T_Shoot to include the dog as a guard and action. Don't forget to include a sound for the weapon being fired.
