I'm not sure how many people would enjoy staring at a blank page. The idea was there, but the game never made it to the "drawing board". It was scrapped so that the game Fate could be created... and look what came from that, a lousy beta demo with four levels.

Man, where has the days gone! I haven't posted to this topic for a couple months. Oh, and who was it that sent me the e-mail about the Eniram? I haven't yet checked it out myself, but you gave me a grand idea and I wanna credit someone for this "bug". I also have an update coming soon to the website that people may be interested in... Keep an eye on this thread. Cool

I still think you should put these 4 sentences about Corridor 8 somewhere on your site. Maybe on that page when you type in http://corridor7.tripod.com

I'm doing a little experiment with a new site idea... Cool Does anyone happen to have large size box art images for Body Count or know where I can find them? It would be highly appreciated.

That would work great if not for the Moby Games stamp on the bottom left corner... Boy do I wish I still had my Body Count box... Mad Then I wouldn't have to look elsewhere for it. Sad

There is a picture of the box art at http://www.awegames.com but I think that one is too ugly.

Is anyone into creating maps for Corridor 7? I had created a pair of pdf files that contain the wall and object data for MapEdit along with a picture of each wall or object. These lists have aided me greatly in creating some maps for Corridor 7 in the past. If anyone is interested, you can find the files on my C7 site's download page. Here is an example of the files. The pages in the PDF are full size 8.5x11 and will print perfectly to paper. Hopefully someone will find use in them as I did. Cheesy Grin

I've gotten some responses to my Capstone Build Games Source topic in the Howling Wolf section. As a result I'm making the source for Witchaven available on my C7 website. I know, what does it have to do with Corridor 7? It doesn't. You'll find it in the downloads section on the site. Witchaven for Windows! Witchaven for Win... wait a minute... Witchaven for Mac! Yeah, that's it! Twisted Evil

The WH executable, maps, and graphics files are not included in this package. If you don't own this game... buy it! You can find it for a couple buck on eBay most of the time.

As a side note... C8's full name was to be "Corridor 8: Galactic Wars". I think it was to use either a newly designed engine or the Quake engine. Not sure which...

Ok, I have a little unrelated info for everyone. A few people on a different forum I sometimes frequent asked me what the letters KBW stand for. As some of you noticed, I used it for my Corridor 7 site. It is also what I use as my internet "codename". I tried using it on this forum, but something went wrong with the verification, so I went with my less used "Mishran" name. I use Mishran on every RPG (online or otherwise) game I played in the past up to the present (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, NWN, Morrowind, Ultima Online, etc.) dating back to the NES. Strangely enough, I even saw the name "Mishra" used with a character from the Magic: The Gathering game. Coincidence? I doubt it. Wink

Well, anyway... KBW is not my real initials. They are the initials of a player name I first made up back on the Dreamcast game Speed Devils Online Racing. Boy, I really loved that game. The player name I speak of is Killer B. Wild. Many online games now-a-days don't support such long names so I shrunk it down to KBW. Just a little silly, but interesting, information about me. I hope that answers the question burning in nobody's mind. Cheesy Grin

You might want to add Andy Nonymous' Corridor 7: Alien Wolf to your site. It's a Wolfenstein 3-D shareware graphics mod that changes the graphics and sound to those of Corridor 7.

I'll take a look at the mod. Does it have a homepage? I'd rather post a link than the actual file.

mishran, have you ever made any maps for c7? You oughtta scour the internet for some if you haven't and release them on your site.

I've made quite a few maps over the years, but lost them all. I've been working on some over the past year or so. I think I got about three or four done so far. I've been basically holding off for Chaos Edit to be released. I grabbed the last beta, but it didn't seem to support Corridor 7. It gets a little annoying in mapedit making a level, save, quit mapedit, start Corridor 7, test map, quit Corridor 7, blah, blah, blah. That cool 3D editor in CE would be a big help, especially with actually seeing what the map looks like without all the hassle.

These aren't release quality levels. They are rather bland. I'm trying to get myself reaquainted with mapedit and get my level designing abilities back on track. Unfortunately after a year and four levels, I've hit a road block; out of ideas. Besides, what good does four levels do? I think the biggest problem is the lack of variety in wall textures. After a while everything looks the same. Perhaps this is the reason people find the levels in the original game so repetitive. In a military research facility, isn't there supposed to be alot of variety?

On second thought, what would it hurt. I was playing around with Mapedit a little and now I have five levels. Yipee! Still bland though. Anyone who decides to give them a try, let me know what you think... or perhaps I don't want to know. Think Oh well, tell me anyway. Cheesy Grin
Corridor 7 Levels for floppy version.
For those that never worked with C7 mapping, it works different from the other games. The maps are still located in a seperate file, but the map "pointers" is integrated in the EXE file. I included that nifty little import/export utility that came with Mapedit. Remember to back up your files first though.
Enjoy! Umm... I hope. Neutral

@Mishran: As a sidenote, WDC can edit Corridor 7 maps (even stuffs the header into the EXE), VGAGRAPH graphics, and AUDIOT sound and music. The wall/sprite/wav sounds can't be compiled yet due to C7's slightly different file structure. If you ever give it a try, let me know if you have any problems with it.

I tried it out just the other day. It's a great utility. I mainly used it to listen to the Corridor 7 music. Corridor 7's music is friggin' awesome. I messed around with the map editor a little, but I gotta say that I like mapedit better. It just seems alot simpler to use. If it is ever able to fully support C7, I will definitely give it a second try though.

Thanks. Well, if you have any suggestions about the map editor, just PM or email me and I'll see what I can do. I tried to mimic MapEdit as closely as I could. I'll let you know when C7 is fully supported.
