Yup guys, it is time for it! Kreml is going to be out real soon; at the end of summer, on in the middle of upcoming Fall 2003. The result of this little delay is my decision of creating nearly all of the maps once again, from the basics. The reason is that it's very hard to include the new features in old map; it makes the game less playable and really looking-bad. From good news I can say that I want to make the game more playable, so I hook up my friends and they play, play and play and tell me what could be changed to make levels good. You can call it beta-testing, but they are too... um.. non-computer-advanced to understand that. So - expect something good. I'll post up more news soon, but now look at ModDb - there are some more information,and PLEASE vote for the game!

Speaking of Kreml, Martin, did you get any of my PM's regarding it?? Just curious...the game looks better and better all the time...it's going in my permenant collection when i get it...(the best I've come across go on ZIP disk...and I've got a spot for Trench Warfare, End of Destiny, and of course, KREML 3D!!) I did get only those about bosses. Btw, nice face work, but we need a little more off with uniforms from original Wolfenstein 3D.. and it will be good, Majik. Really good.. show me off some more and more! Mr Green

They're meant to be wierd...but you looked at it too soon. They're all animated now. But like I said, enough about that...I should be flogged for straying from the topic of KREML 3D...a wolfer such as myself should know better... Confused

Me too...usually I'm not impressed by features alone, but looking at the list below...

* 30 levels, split to 3 episodes
* 8 weapons in total
* many types of guards
* every graphic changed !! (Total Conversion)
* friendly fire function
* a kickass outside scene, with snow, trees, rocks, rain, footsteps, wild animals and special guard types!
* enemies can pickup certain health items
* double pistols feature
* alternative shooting type (like in new FPS)
* textured floor and ceiling
* many types of ammo
* new statusbar
* new armor feature
* maybe greneades?!
* changed palette (for new guards)
* lots of new music
* text at beginning of episode
* many new digitized and AdLib sounds
* probably three ways of finishing all episodes (yes, three ways of story, not just one!)
* exploding barrels
* furniture destroying feature
* enemies placing landmines
* enemies throwing greneades?


Aside from the changes in enemies, etc, it sounds like there is going to be lot of other cool stuff to set this game apart from being a product of the original Wolfenstein engine. The more I look at stuff for the game, the more it feels like a totally different game, which is the sign of a good TC. I like the concept of exploding objects and destroyable furniture especially...I love "interacting" with my environment...I always wondered if bullet holes in walls and blood splattering ala Duke 3D would be possible in a Wolf based TC...? Cool

When is it actually going to be released? Anyway it should be worth it. With all of the new features it's going to be a really good TC, probably one of the top 5.

1. Sorry for bringing up such an old topic.

2. <main part>. Kreml 3D is going to be delayed _again_. There is NO deadline set. That's because of corrupted GAMEMAPS file. I'm currently seeking all of available backup copies so I can get the newest, but right-working maps. The most odd part is that you can play the game without any problems, but in all editors <WDC, FloEdit, MapEdit 8.4, MapEdit 7.2> the maps are really scrambled. Sorry to hear that, but that's the main problem. From good stuff, I can say that nearly all of the art is finished. What I have left is editing some of the bosses, but that's pretty easy. The hardest part will be arranging of outside scenery. I'm also waiting for Danny to bring up some new stuff and send me the source code.

Latest news: Adam Biser has joined our squad to help Dan with source code. The second coder has been really needed from about month. Hope it will make Kreml go faster and better. Wish us luck!

If you want, I can make a few changes to WDC so that I can grab what I can from the corrupt GAMEMAPS file so that a new file can be reconstructed...

The exact same thing happened to me while I was working on TW a while back, I had to use a month old backup and redid 2-3 maps and several sprites Embarassed fun. . . good luck Wink
